PUSH Physical Theater visits Villa of Hope School on Friday, January 24, 2020.
PUSH performed for the students this morning, an amazing demonstration of creativity and physical stamina. The PUSH performers then engaged our students in an introductory workshop. Both our students and staff participated in movement that provided performances mimicking dance and artistic creativity.
Students will volunteer to join the residency during the month of February. PUSH performers will inspire and motivate our students to create their own movement for a culminating performance for the whole school in March.
We are thrilled to be part of this grant funded program, designed just for Villa of Hope School. Thank you to Darren and Heather and the other performers, you have impacted our school, and we look forward to spending more time together.
The Villa of Hope School will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2020 in memory of the great work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. May this day bring us all together to answer Dr. King’s question…”What are we doing for others?”
Villa of Hope School will reopen on Monday, January 6, 2020.
Welcome Back, we have missed you!
From my family to the Villa of Hope School Family-Happy Holidays!
It has been a gift of gratitude, hope and optimism serving as the Director of Education. I look forward to 2020, as we continue to celebrate our successes and seek to improve areas in need of growth. Thank you!
“Write at Christmas!” Our students continue to demonstrate their writing skills all year long, but especially at holiday time. So proud of all that our students have accomplished. Villa of Hope School students are outstanding writers!
The Green Club collected items to be recycled following our Thanksgiving Lunch this afternoon. Our students and staff collected the plastic drink cups, along with our serving pans. The Villa of Hope School cares about the environment and the Green Club will help us play a role in saving our Mother Earth! Thank you to Mrs. McBride and the members of our Green Club for setting a good example for many. Keep up the great work you are doing!
